ASU Football Game
This past weekend Brent, Mayce, McKay, and I went to Alabama's homecoming game. They were playing against Arkansas State. We met Paige and Robert there (Brent's sister and brother-in-law) and had a great time. We sat with the ASU group while Paige and Robert sat with the UA folks. No matter the score (if you want to know this you will need to look it up yourself) and loss, it was fun for all.

Alabama Soccer Game
Today I took Mayce and McKay to the Alabama women's soccer game. We had a lot of fun especially Mayce. She loves playing soccer and has enjoyed watching Alabama play on tv. She gets so excited. It is fun to watch. Anyhow, Mayce was one of two little girls chosen to go on the field during halftime to compete in a competition. She and the other little girl started at half field and was spun around 10 times then had to dribble the soccer ball with their feet to the goal and back to half field, was spun around again 10 times and had to kick the ball back down the field and score a goal. The first one to do that won a great prize. Mayce won!!! She ended up winning an Alabama soccer jersey with autographs from the Alabama soccer team as well as an autographed program. Needless to say that made her day.

Pumpkin Fun!!
Over the weekend, my parents and my Aunt Kelly came to Alabama for a visit. One fun thing we did was carve pumpkins. We had a lot of fun. Mayce, McKay, and Kelly did the carving and mom and I helped. They thought it was gross sticking their hands in the pumpkin to clean it out. Overall they did a great job and had fun doing it.

Mayce's PTA performance
Tonight Mayce had a performance at PTA. The first graders sang a few songs that they have learned and practiced. First grade is going very well for her. They are focusing on reading and math skills. She is a great reader and is doing well in math. I can't believe we are going on 9 weeks of school. She will actually be out of school this Friday and next Monday.
